      Description

This is for an implementation of the FHIR DiagnosticReport Resource. Note that the actual DiagnosticReport resource is quite complex. For our purposes, we only need a subset of its possible behaviour.

We need the following fields mapped:

      • status - this is similar to the Observation Resource defined in FM2-11. In particular we should have:
        1. A default implementation built against Core 2.0 which only maps unknown or maybe final
        2. An implementation for Core 2.1.x that matches the Observation results, i.e., one of preliminary | final | amended.
        3. Implementation-specific variant that can store this status as, e.g. an Obs or other relevant data type.
      • encounter - a reference to the encounter this diagnostic report is part of
      • category - for the purposes of this initial request, this value will always have the value "LAB" using the system " http://terminology.hl7.org/CodeSystem/v2-0074".
      • subject - a Reference to the appropriate Patient resource.
      • issued - this should probably correspond to the Obs date time
      • performer - this is a reference to a Practitioner resource for the Provider performing the diagnostic service
      • result - A reference to the observations associated with this diagnostic report
