      Description

When I click on the "Check for updates" button on the "Import Metadata" page, it returns a "Fatal Error" error message.

This isn't a blocker, because if one hits "reload", it does to have checked for updates, and returns the correct status.

I looked into the problem a bit and it appears that the problem occurs when trying to serialized the "ImportedPackage" object to return via AJAX. We are running into an out of memory error, and it looks like this is because it is tryihng to serialize the "XStream" property of Imported Package. This property should be ignored when serializing.

As a quick first pass, I tried to add an "@XStreamOmitField" annontation to that property, but that didn't seem to fix the problem.
