Login takes user to last page of previous user

When logging as a new user, the initial page loaded is the last page from the previous user account. This happens consistently with the same browser window, and exists with Chrome and Firefox (didn't test with ie). Sometimes the new user doesn't have permissions to access the page (not nice). I've even used the rolebased homepage module (V2.0), which should take users to a single homepage. However this is also ignored when this location is "cached".

There are several tickets that have been closed about this, but obviously this isn't fixed yet. TRUNK-88 and TRUNK-1887.
