Description
The request is to be able to use a user's email as their OpenMRS username. This would include 2 things
1. allow the email format as a valid username, which was eliminated in this ticket (https://tickets.openmrs.org/browse/TRUNK-881). From what I gather this would just mean adding the @ character as an allowed entry.
2. map the username to the email of the user found in the Notifications section of My Profile. This way we avoid the user having to do double entry of their email.
As per Burke's suggestion (http://openmrs-mailing-list-archives.1560443.n2.nabble.com/Using-email-as-OpenMRS-username-td7496178.html), this should probably be a global property (or perhaps two) which sets this. They could be allow_email_as_username and use_emailusername_as_notification_email.
