Form design deleted when applying skip logic

I was following the instructions from xfrm-148 directly. I applied the skip logic validation and saved the form. Once I clicked save, the xform designer froze for several minutes. Finally, after waiting quite some time, I refreshed the page using the web browser thinking that it was stuck. When the form reloaded, the layout XML tab was empty and nothing displayed on the design surface. Previous to this error, the form was thoroughly designed – now all that work has been lost.
